As we close out another impactful year, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on our journey together and celebrate the incredible strides we’ve made as a chapter. This year has been full of growth, resilience, and commitment to our community, thanks to each of you—our members, our volunteers, and our board.

Volunteering is at the heart of our chapter, and as we look ahead to a new year, I encourage each of you to think about how you can make an impact. Reflecting on 2024 Achievements
Before we welcome the new year, let’s celebrate some of the remarkable accomplishments of our chapter:
Record-Breaking PDD: We had high attendance and exceptional reviews from our 2023 Professional Development Day. Thank you to all who attended, spoke, and volunteered!
Expanded Networking Events: From monthly member meetings to special industry sessions, 2023 offered more chances than ever to connect and grow.
Diverse Speaker Lineup: This year, we celebrated variety in our event topics and speakers, making for a richer, more inclusive community experience.
New Initiatives: From PMI-CP certification programs to the return of on-demand PDUs with ProjectBites, we’re staying ahead in the world of project management.
Engaged Membership: Our social media, newsletters, and outreach efforts have blossomed, with higher engagement across platforms—making it easier for members to stay in the loop.
We also made strides in aligning with PMI Global initiatives, with PMICOC team members engaged in the PMI Project Success Team, an invaluable program aimed at defining the key elements of project success. As we continue developing our chapter’s future, we are also planning forward-looking initiatives such as our student mentorship pilot, launched this year, and we’re working with key community partners to extend our outreach efforts and expand our chapter's influence.
Our progress this year has been made possible by the hard work and dedication of our board, committees, and countless volunteers. Your passion and commitment to advancing our chapter and profession are truly inspiring. Together, we’ve deepened our operational efficiency, expanded access to professional development resources, and redefined the volunteer experience. To all who’ve contributed your time and talent, I extend my heartfelt thanks.

More In-Person Events: Look out for even more opportunities to network and earn PDUs.
Enhanced Outreach Programs: Join us for in-person Hours for Impact, where we’ll come together to support our local communities.
Expanded Social Media Presence: Stay tuned as we explore new platforms like TikTok and YouTube to keep the community engaged and connected.
Early PDD Planning: We’re already in the planning stages for our 2024 PDD, aiming to make it even better than before. Stay tuned for the call for speakers!

As we move forward, I encourage all of you to stay engaged and active within PMICOC. We have exciting plans on the horizon, including our 50th-anniversary celebration next year—a true milestone we hope to share with all of you. We look forward to your continued involvement, support, and insights as we prepare for an even brighter future.
I have proudly said that I am the Central Ohio PMI President for these last 2 years and I am hoping you as our community that has embraced me and our board have felt the changes, we have done for each of you. I hope all of you, when you receive your PMI survey will fill it out and allow this team to know what a GREAT Job, they have done for you. I would love for this Chapter, to be the Chapter of the year for your 50th anniversary in 2025. It would be just the icing on the cake as I step over to the PAST President position next year.
