Q2 2026 Message from the President

Greetings, PMI Central Ohio Chapter Team!

As we close out the first quarter of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the momentum we’ve built together and, more importantly, to set our sights on what’s ahead as we enter Q2.

Q1 has been a strong start—driven by your dedication, collaboration, and commitment to this chapter. Thank you for the energy you bring and the impact you continue to make. Now, as we transition into Q2, we have an opportunity to sharpen our focus and accelerate our efforts around what matters most.

What This Means for Q2:

Launching PMIEF-Aligned Programs

  • We will begin integrating PMIEF’s Project Management for Social Good® and youth-focused learning initiatives into our outreach efforts—bringing project management fundamentals into classrooms, community programs, and nonprofit organizations across Central Ohio.

Strengthening Our Academic Partnership

  • We are proud to expand our collaboration with Ohio University as an Authorized Training Partner (ATP). This partnership allows us to elevate the quality and accessibility of project management education—creating clearer pathways for students and professionals to build skills, earn certifications, and engage with PMI standards early in their careers. In Q2, we will look to deepen this relationship through joint programming, student engagement, and increased visibility within the academic community.

Setting Clear Impact Targets

  • In Q2, we are committing to:

    • Reaching 100+ students and emerging professionals through educational sessions

    • Establishing at least 2 new partnerships with schools, universities, or community organizations

    • Delivering 3–5 education-focused events or workshops aligned to PMIEF principles

    • Supporting ATP-driven learning opportunities through our Ohio University collaboration

Expanding “Hours for Impact” Through Education

  • We will align a portion of our Hours for Impact commitments directly to education—encouraging members to volunteer time mentoring, teaching, or supporting PMIEF-related initiatives.

Activating Our Volunteer Base

  • This work comes to life through you. We will identify and mobilize volunteers who are passionate about education to lead and support these initiatives—turning strategy into sustained execution.

Measuring What Matters

  • Success will not just be participation—it will be outcomes. We will begin tracking engagement, reach, and community impact to ensure our efforts are meaningful and scalable.

"What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what

kind of difference you want to make.” --Jane Goodall

A Call to Action

As we move into this next quarter, I ask each of you to consider how you can contribute. Whether it’s volunteering, mentoring, speaking, or helping us build connections—your involvement will directly shape the success of this initiative.

Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to influence the future, and through PMIEF—and partnerships like Ohio University—we have the platform to make a lasting difference.

In Closing

The foundation has been set in Q1—now it’s time to build with intention.

We have the right team, the right focus, and a clear path forward. Q2 is where strategy becomes action—and action becomes impact.

"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

Thank you for your continued dedication to PMI Central Ohio Chapter and the communities we serve. I look forward to what we will accomplish—together.

Sincerely,

Deborah Ducmanas, PMP
