PMI Social Impact Programs elevate our world and transform communities through project management. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), our programs empower youth, support education, promote sustainability, and improve the world for a better future.

At PMI, social impact means using our project management skills to make a difference. By partnering with not-for-profits and driving targeted initiatives, we aim to create sustainable, long-lasting improvements in communities across the globe.

Speaker Bio

Laura Davidson is a Global Program Manager for Project Managers Without Boarders at the Project Management Institute. In her role she is passionate about advancing social impact through structured project management approaches. She is an innovative leader in global program management, nonprofit partnerships, and business transformation while being adept at scaling mission-driven initiatives, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement to drive impact. As a skilled public speaker with a talent for connecting with diverse audiences, especially volunteers, she seeks to inspire action and engagement.

In her role she has:
-Spearheaded the strategic integration of PMWB global partners into PMI, ensuring alignment with PMI’s governance framework and global strategy.
-Partnered closely with the PMWB Board of Directors to drive strategic alignment, policy adherence, and long-term program sustainability.
-Developed and executed a scalable partnership model, expanding engagement to multiple global nonprofit organizations launching high-impact community projects.
-Designed and led global workshops and PMI chapter engagements, educating and mobilizing members to apply project management expertise in nonprofit initiatives.
-Established frameworks to leverage PMI’s global volunteer network, enhancing the application of project management within nonprofit organizations.
-Deep understanding of PMI structures, policies, and nonprofit integration, with proven success in scaling mission-driven programs through strategic partnerships.
